In this episode, Linda shares her journey and the strategies and tactics she uses to help her son, who has Asperger's, develop the skills he needs and prepare him for an independent life. She talks about the struggles that he has when it comes to making friends as well as how they have focused as a family on encouraging him to be independent. She also discusses the challenges of supporting him as he navigates through puberty. Linda also talks bout the importance of making sure that you find the time to focus on other things not just your child because as she says it is easy to lose yourself and become a therapeutic parent.
